How does compressing to an exact size work?

Type the file size you need — say 100 KB — and Pixenith's compression engine works backward from that target. It re-encodes images at progressively lower quality and resolution, strips redundant PDF streams and unused embedded fonts, and, if the file still won't fit, rasterises stubborn pages at a lower DPI. Every pass is measured against your target, so you get the smallest file that still meets it — not a fixed “high / medium / low” guess like most free tools offer. It works the same way for images: a 100 MB photo can be driven down to a 100 KB JPG or WebP for an upload form or email limit.

How is Pixenith different from other free PDF tools?

Most free PDF and image tools only offer a rough 'high / medium / low' compression choice. Pixenith lets you type the exact file size you need — for example 100 KB or 2 MB — and the compressor keeps adjusting quality and resolution until your PDF or image hits that target. That means a 100 MB photo can become a 100 KB file for an upload form or email limit, with no signup and no watermark.

Is Pixenith really free?

Yes. Every tool has a free tier that covers the everyday use cases — no signup, no watermarks, no credit-card. Paid plans only unlock larger files, higher daily quotas and priority workers.

How long are my files kept?

Uploaded files and generated outputs are automatically purged within 60 minutes. We don't keep copies, we don't index them, and we never use them to train models.

Do you support batch processing?

Most tools accept multiple files in a single run and return a ZIP. For very large batches, the Pro plan raises the per-job file count and total size limits.

Which file formats can I convert?

Pixenith handles PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), HTML, JPG, PNG, WebP and SVG. We use LibreOffice for Office conversions and Ghostscript for PDF/A and compression.

Can I compress a PDF or image to a specific size?

Yes. The Compress PDF and Compress Image tools both offer a target-size mode: tell them you want 100 KB, 2 MB or any custom target, and the engine iterates quality and resolution settings (rasterising PDF pages if needed) until your file fits.

Is my data secure?

Files are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Processing happens in isolated worker pods, downloads use signed URLs that expire within minutes, and no human ever sees your documents.
